WHAT IS HP MULTI-JET FUSION?

HP Multi-Jet Fusion is a powerful 3D Printing technology that produces highly accurate and durable HP MJF parts at fast speeds, especially compared to other powder bed fusion technologies. Multi-Jet Fusion parts are great for end-use, low-to-mid volume production, for rapid prototyping, or as a bridge process to injection moulding (for more information, read our injection moulding design guide). MJF 3D Printed parts are most commonly post-processed by dyeing, sanding and plating.

FAQ

  • What is HP Multi Jet Fusion?

HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) is an advanced 3D printing technology developed by HP that uses a multi-agent printing process to create high-quality, functional parts.

  • What are the advantages of using HP Multi Jet Fusion?

HP Multi Jet Fusion offers several advantages, including high printing speed, excellent part quality, isotropic mechanical properties, design freedom, and the ability to produce functional parts with intricate geometries.

  • How does HP Multi Jet Fusion work?

HP Multi Jet Fusion works by applying a layer of material (powder) onto a build platform and selectively applying a fusing agent using inkjet arrays. Then, a detailing agent is applied to define fine features, and energy is applied to fuse the powder. This process is repeated layer by layer to create the final part.

  • Are HP MJF parts cost-effective compared to other manufacturing methods?
